Event at the IEK of Peraia, Thessaloniki

On May 14th, the first- and second-year students of the specialties “Cooking Art Technician – Chef” and “Bakery and Pastry Technician” had the pleasure and honor to attend the seminar “Handmade Pie Dough”, which was presented at our School pro bono by representatives of the flour industry “MYLOI RODIAS S.A.”.

The seminar took place in the open presentation area of the Experimental – S.A.E.K. Tourism of Macedonia, and the students had the opportunity to learn about the history of handmade dough used in traditional Greek pies, the secrets of its preparation, and the types of fillings from our grandmothers’ era to the present day.

Our students watched the process with great interest, participated, and tasted the creations lovingly prepared by Mrs. Konstantina Preveza, co-owner of the flour industry “MYLOI RODIAS S.A.”, and her associate, Chef Georgios Koutlas, owner of the Traditional Country-Style Pie Workshop “Koutlas,” specializing in handmade dough.

The School Director, Mrs. Gerna, the Pastry / Culinary Arts Instructors, and the students warmly thank the flour industry “MYLOI RODIAS S.A.” for the collaboration and congratulate them on the honorary distinction and award they received at the landmark conference for the export sector, Greek Export Forum & Awards 2025!

We continue with the same love and dedication!
